Political Funnies
So much talent, # 51 is inspired.
This is a little old but it again fits for the Labour Day weekend .
Trump wanted to destroy the US economy to get back at the Chinese fits in well in this thread

This guy gets our politics better than most Canadian commentators.
Dennis looks like him too.
Tom Tomorrow entitled this one "Dumbfellas".
LOL!
LOL!
Reminds me of 2006, when the polls began pointing to a Tory victory; Stephen Harper and Jack Layton began making speeches saying, "Don't worry - if the Liberals lose the Sun will still rise the next day and the sky won't fall down." Pretty sure both of them used that exact phrase, or close to it.
EDMONTON – After the federal election results left many in western Canada feeling disappointed and alienated, a separatist movement has emerged online under the banner of “Wexit”, inspired by the efficient, painless, and satisfying Brexit process currently underway across the Atlantic.

Albertans in particular have expressed frustration with being ruled by a party that is so anti-oil that it would only buy one pipeline. Much of this frustration has been expressed on social media by a series of bots, content aggregators, media reps for foreign owned oil companies, and the occasional Albertan.

LOL that is so very clever. Thanks bekayne.

Jen Sorenson has a suggestion for changing the public image of plutocrats.
That was funny. As for trashy vs classy, other than money from the government, there are several ruling class fashions, huge powerful cars, canned hunting trips (see Trump sons) and other indulgences that are seen as very tacky when copied by poorer people.
This applies to a lot more than just climate change.
The person shown in the last panel is the cartoonist, Tom Tomorrow. He adds this commentary:
This was supposed to be a cartoon about the rise and fall of Trump’s fixation with hydroxychloroquine, but literally minutes after I finished writing a first draft, he held his now-infamous press briefing and mused aloud, "And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs.” I’ve had to rewrite a lot of cartoons at the last minute over the past three years, as Trump does something dumber than you would have imagined possible up until the moment he actually does it, but this may be the first time he literally acted out a cartoon-in-progress before my eyes.
From The Onion, on March 25: Man Just Buying One Of Every Cleaning Product In Case Trump Announces It’s Coronavirus Cure

Hahahaha. I can totally hear Groucho Marx say that.
