"The imperialist powers have responded to Iran's strikes on Israel Saturday with an outpouring of condemnation. 'I condemn these attacks in the strongest possible terms', US President Joe Biden declared, recalling 'America's ironclad commitment to the security of Israel'.

The G7 group of imperialist powers said in a statement, 'We unequivocally condemn in the strongest terms Iran's direct and unprecedented attack against Israel'. It added, 'Iran has further stepped toward the destabilization of the region and risks provoking an uncontrollable regional escalation.'

These statements by the imperialist warmongers, reported by every major NATO power, are the height of hypocrisy.

The force 'provoking an uncontrollable regional escalation' in the Middle East, is Israel and its imperialist backers..."

"In a highly revealing vote Saturday in Warshington, not a single Democratic member in the House of Representatives registered opposition to a $60.8 billion Ukrainan weapons package, the largest of three global war bills demanded by President Joe Biden.

As Saturday's vote shows, the elevation of DSA members and 'progressives' to Congress has not altered the social character of the Democratic Party, which has shed any pretense of being 'anti-war' and has instead, become the preferred party of the Pentagon and Central Intelligence Agency.

Defeating 'MAGA Dark Money,' Summer Lee Wins Primary in Landslide

U.S. Rep. Summer Lee, a member of the progressive "Squad," won the Democratic primary for Pennsylvania's 12th Congressional District on Tuesday, fending off an opponent whose campaign was backed by a billionaire Republican megadonor and ally of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Lee, a vocal critic of the Netanyahu government and leading supporter of a cease-fire in Gaza, handily defeated Bhavini Patel, a borough councilmember in Edgewood, Pennsylvania whose effort to unseat the progressive incumbent was bankrolled by Jeffrey Yass, the state's richest man. Patel actively courted Republican and pro-Israel voters, characterizing Lee as "fringe."

With more than 95% of the vote counted, Lee is ahead of Patel by more than 20 percentage points.....

300+ Arrested Outside Schumer's Home During Jewish-Led Seder Against Gaza Genocide

As U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer prepared to vote on Tuesday night for a foreign aid package including billions to continue arming Israel in its bombardment of Gaza, roughly 300 protesters were arrested outside his home in Brooklyn for holding an "emergency Passover seder" protest, demanding the U.S. end its support for an assault that has killed at least 34,262 Palestinians.

The protest was led by anti-Zionist Jewish organizers with Jewish Voice for Peace, IfNotNow, and Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, with a large round banner representing a traditional Seder plate at the center of the protest at Grand Army Plaza, a block from Schumer's home.

Hundreds of people, some wearing traditional Palestinian keffiyehs, linked arms and chanted, "Free, free Palestine!" while blocking traffic and displaying the Seder plate.

"No one is free until everyone is free," read the banner. "Jews say stop arming Israel.".....

"US President Joe Biden signed legislation Wednesday morning that provides $95 billion more for the US-NATO war against Russia in Ukraine, for the Israeli military, now in the 7th month of a genocidal slaughter in Gaza, and for preparing Taiwan as a US military base against China.

The bill was approved by huge bipartisan majorities in the Houses of Representatives Saturday, and by a vote of 78-19 in the Senate Tuesday night.

By linking together in a single page of legislation the war spending for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, the bill signifies that the Biden administration of the US ruling elite as a whole do not view these officials as separate and distinct.

They are rather, connected theaters in a global war American imperialism is fighting on a vast front which stretches from the Arctic Ocean to the Black Sea, then through the Middle East and Central Asia, all the way to China and the Pacific.

The breakdown of voting on this is sobering.

In the house:

The vote on passage of the Ukraine funding was 311-112. Significantly, 112 Republicans opposed the legislation, with only 101 in support.

In the Senate:

The funding passed with the support of 46 Democrats, 31 Republicans and 2 independents, following hours of speeches by senators. Two Democrats, 15 Republicans and one independent opposed it. Three GOP senators — Rand Paul of Kentucky, Tim Scott of South Carolina and Tommy Tuberville of Alabama — didn't vote.
