Getting off obnoxious commercial mailing lists

WALMARDE is among the more nefarious firms with mailing lists it seems impossible to unsubscribe from. I have never shopped there in my life - yes, I know that if I lived in a smaller town I probably wouldn't have the choice. Is there any way we can get the bastards to take us off their lists?

That's strange that you got on their list. Maybe you ordered something from a third party supplier who provided your contact information to Walmart.

Thanks to laine lowe and North Report. I rarely order anything online; sometimes obscure books and publications in languages other than French or English, occasionally clothing from local retailers (not Walmarde!). Even computers and office supplies locally, perhaps delivered though. There is a large pet supply business at Jean-Talon Market nearby.

Hope this works. Not only is spam annoyance, it costs consumers a lot of $$$$$$$$$

I keep a spam folder where I make PDF copies of spam email. I used to be good about reporting it but I found that it's become less convenient than before. I used to use an RCMP site but I will try the link NorthReport shared above.

Of all things, I just got an e-mail from Banana Republic! Not is it overpriced and boringly bourgeois, I've always found its name offensive and borderline racist. Googling Banana Republic racist, I see that some other consumers think the same.

Pondering

Although it never occurred to me before of course it is racist. No need to google.

Oh, my inner nerd just like to confirm things.

After rue Amherst became rue Atateken, some of us were wondering how to rename rue Napoléon, rue Toussaint L'Ouverture.

Perhaps media/reporters could have challenged Kenney on his 'banana republic' comments and given that equal billing as opposed to focusing 100% on his comments about Danielle Smith.

Danielle Smith's proposed Alberta Sovereignty Act would create a 'banana republic': Kenney
