To put it mildly, I'm not a techie. I use my rather basic laptop to translate, write and communicate with friends and comrades in many parts of the world. I'm livid about "Microsoft Edge" colonising my computer. How can I remove the damned thing: simply and quickly?

Hi Lagatta,
For Windows 10 - You can uninstall or disable Microsoft Edge easily by going to Settings, Apps, Apps and Features, select Microsoft Edge and click Uninstall button.
For Windows 11 - Press Win + I to open the Settings app. Navigate to the Apps tab and click on Installed apps. Scroll down to locate Microsoft Edge's preview build. Click the three-dot menu icon next to it and select Uninstall.
Good luck. Not a fan of Edge either.
