Marks the spot?
The derivative of x is 1.
There's one on the spot in the road where Kennedy was assassinated. I saw a pic this evening of my brother in law standing on it.
I wondered how often they have to repaint it.

I miss the phantom threads.
Morsi?
I miss the phantom threads.
I miss being able to get vertical colums of x to be spaced as close together as horizontal rows of x, so we could actually create interesting artwork out of various cmbinations of x.

LT, press shift+enter when you do a carriage return and you will only skip one line instead of two.

Thanks for the tip, CF!
Unfortunately, even though Shift-Enter indeed created single line spaces, they turned into the usual double space upon posting. Or, on second thought, maybe 1.5 space. Why?

Yes...the letter "x" in international morse code.
In case anyone gets a little thirsty:
The XFCE Desktop Environment...for GNU/Linux and Unix operating systems. Use it if your computer is a little on the old side...turns your slowpoke computer into a quick little mouse!

Not only that... I find the new fedora desktop kind of stupid (as in.... there is none). XFCE is like old fedora, and that's why I put that option on one of our laptops.
Plus... there's plain old:

I'm running Voyager Linux on my main desktop. It's a re-spin of Xubuntu but with a much prettier XFCE desktop. Also run the XFCE version of Linux Mint Debian Edition on my old Thinkpad laptop.
"X" marks the spot ... for buried treasure!
Ah, the good old threads!

There was a Firesign Theatre track, in which they were doing a an for a fictional horror movie called THE STRAIGHT PEOPLE-note, this was done in 1969, and in their parlance "straight" meant "non-hippie". The outro for the ad was "this movie is rated 'X-"the unknown'. Positively no one admitted".

You can say that again!
I remember the first time a gay person called me straight (I was a young teen). I was very insulted.
